Motorola clear camera data and application
How can I troubleshoot camera errors on the motorola edge 20 ?
Photo looks blurry
Wipe the lens clean with a soft, dry cloth and retake the photo.
If new photos still look blurry:
- Increase resolution (photo size) in the Camera app. A smaller photo size results in lower image quality.
- Avoid zooming when taking a photo. Pixelation always occurs when you zoom a digital photo. If you use zoom during the shot itself, pixelation will be more evident.
- If you're indoors and taking a panoramic photo, switch to regular mode. Panorama works best for outdoor shots; the algorithm that stitches the images together isn’t optimised for indoor, up-close shots.
Selfies are flipped
If your selfies are reversed, switch the Selfie photo mirror setting. This won’t correct photos you’ve already taken, but new selfies will have the orientation you want.
Error: Trash is full
If you’re getting messages about the trash being full:
- Open the Photos app.
- Touch Library > Trash
- Touch > Empty trash
- Touch Delete permanently to confirm the deletion.
Error: Camera Busy
This error can occur if you use the camera in one app and then switch to another app that requires permission to access the camera.
After each troubleshooting step, check to see if the issue is fixed:
- Turn your phone off and then on again.
- Check which apps have permission to access the camera.
Settings > Privacy > Permission manager > Camera or
Settings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > Permission manager > Camera
Review the list of the apps on your phone that request camera access and remove access for apps that look suspicious or that you don’t use.
- Clear the cache and data for the Camera app.
To clear the cache and data:
- Touch & hold , then touch
- Do one of the following:
- To free up space by removing temporary files, touch Storage & cache > Clear cache . Over time, the cache builds up again, so repeat if a problem occurs.
- If problems still occur, then delete all data saved in the app by touching Storage & cache > Clear storage . Be careful - there’s no way to undo this
Error: Please restart camera
After each troubleshooting step, check to see if the issue is fixed:
1. Turn your phone off and then on again.
2. Clear the cache for the Camera app.
Be careful - there’s no way to undo this
3. Check for updates to your Camera app.
- Open the Play Store app.
- Touch your profile icon > Manage apps & device .
- Touch See details and look for the Moto Camera Tuner 4 app:
- If you see it, touch Update next to its name.
- If you don't see it, you already have the newest version of the app.
4. Use safe mode to see if apps you installed are causing the issue and uninstall as needed.
If the camera works correctly in safe mode, a third-party app is probably causing the issue.
Error: 03400001 or similar number
If you see a numeric error code (0xxxxxxx):
- Restart your phone.
- If you still see the errror, then your phone needs to be repaired.
